Rector's message
 
   Undoubtedly education today defines the future of the country, because the future - it is, first of all, high technologies, new achievements in sphere of fundamental and applied sciences. Education will lead the country towards new economic level will guarantee its competitiveness. Who shall make such the leap in inventions, technologies? Only specialists educated in modern scientific institutions on the basis of fundamental knowledge and within innovative environment.
   Donetsk State University of Management, which was founded during the complicated years of formation of Ukrainian state system as an institution of a new type, strives to perform a responsible mission - to prepare high qualified professionals, able to operate the most complicated production and economic processes under new market conditions.
   Today DonSUM is a specialized institution of higher education preparing qualified management staff in Economics, Finance, Sociology, Law, Management, and Marketing oriented to work in the new market economy of Ukraine and its integration into international scientific and education area.
   The university enrolled its first international students in 1993. Since that time DonSUM has graduated students from China, Lebanon, Cameroon, Nigeria, Syria, and many other countries. Due to its concern for the individual student, the Faculty for International Students has created ideal conditions for study by students from abroad.
